So I have managed to create a vice with motion links and gears, it might be one of the coolest things I have done in CAD quite frankly. It all works as it is supposed to do; and now I want to animate it. The problem is - I go to the animation workspace and the joint behaviour doesn't exist and I don't want to move parts to imitate a working vice when I have made a working vice. I have tried motion studies as well but there doesn't appear to be any way to create a longer motion study. I need help.

If you set on using the Animation Environment, the animation of a Motion Study is the only thing you have to work with.  You will probably have to drop back and "pretty up" your model environment model and screen record from there.
