Freezing issue

Morning, just got back from holiday and updated to the latest patch.

Since then, I've been getting regular freezing in all my models, even the simplest. The screen freezes and I can't interact with anything, I left it for an hour and went and did something else, but that didn't help.

The computer isn't stressed at all when this happens and fusion doesn't appear to be using any resources other than the RAM needed at the time.

I've checked all my drivers and they appear to be up to date.

I just wondered if anybody else is experiencing this? If not I'll assume it's on my end and do a clean install.

@Robert-FreEnergy

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file that exhibits this issue to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Are you running a 3DConnexion device. If yes, then click Calibrate.

Hello.

No, I don't think there is any point in doing that; as I mentioned in the original post, this is happening across all my models, even simple discs.

I'm just interested in whether other people are experiencing this too, if they aren't then I will wipe and do a clean install.

Thank s anyway

@Robert-FreEnergy @This is certainly not an issue on all machines. Having your logs might help here and doing a couple of other things as well.

1. Close Fusion 360

1.a. Restart machine

2. Go to add/remove program

3. Select Fusion 360 - Modify

4. This will launch the Fusion service utility

5. Run a repair Fusion from here

Now launch Fusion and see if this problem goes away. if it does not

6. Go back to service utility

7. Gather system info - this will generate two zip files

8. Attach them here

Also look to see if there are many pending OS updates.

Hi Rajkumar, thanks for the advice, I'll save this as a note so that I can refer to it in the future 😁

As nobody else seemed to have an issue I did a clean install and updated everything I could think of. Thankfully that seems to have worked, no freezes since.

I really appreciate the advice though, I'm sure it will make this process faster if I run into a similar problem in the future.

Hey there.. @Robert-FreEnergy  I actually have the exact same problem...

Fusion freezes in certain circumstances meanwhile the rest of the system is totally ok.

Taskmanager says that the energy-consumption is very high.. but that's it. All other programs work flawlessly.

@RajkumarIlanchelian I have already tried the repair you suggested without any success.

Here are the zips:

I would like to revive this thread - me and coworkers are having this issue. It freezes mostly when canceling an operation . Does not seem to be related to any geometry complexity as it happens with fresh scenes, old scenes. Tried reinstalling, cleaning caches, limiting performance, service utility - you name it.

@kchepizhkoMXT2T Can you give some more details please?

1. When you say cancel are you hitting the esc key during an operation going on?
2. Fresh scenes and old scenes - can you give us more examples of what edits are happening when you are seeing this?
3. Can you also provide us with your machine hardware and software details please?

This problem seems to have resurfaced with the latest update. I've just had my third freeze which can only be exited through task managers end task command.

This one occurred when I tried to change tabs to a different component whilst the get latest command was running.

Please see attached logs below

And again, seems to be linked to the get latest command
