Freeze while dimension constraining

So we have tested multiple computers and had the same freeze condition happen while trying to dimension constrain two lines in a sketch. After I click the location for the dimension, fusion freezes everytime. this seems like a simple process. I tried clearing the cache data, but no luck there. Any other ideas?

Hi,

This is expected behaviour.

The patterns should be created in the body/surface mode instead of the sketch environment.

Create a sketch with 1 or 2 elements > extrude/cut them > pattern the features*/bodies/faces

I should be given a warning by the software if I'm exceeding it's feature capabilities. "Too Many ___!" Crashing isn't a helpful way to operate.

I will try patterning faces instead of sketch geometry.

That seems logically backwards though.

Hi,

Important:

Compute option > Identical or Optimized

but "Faces" works too

I tried patterning the faces - froze again.

Hi,

here´s my test "Faces vs. Features"

Conditions:

1000 instances > Realtime

1. Faces

2. Features

Watch the timeline!

Thanks for the comparison. Are you running a 4GHz GPU?

I will try restructuring my extrusions to isolate my feature for duplication.
