Hi,
I am experiencing a bug with Free Orbit. This happens either when I open a part, when entering sketch mode, exiting sketch mode (sometimes), and with a mouse and 3D mouse (Spacemouse Pro). I encounter this issue on 3 different computers running the latest Fusion 360 version (as of this posting) with Free Orbit as the default orbit type on all.
The issue is the following (please also see Screencast):
My parts orbit around some kind of compound axis initially (as if it's trying to orbit both in free and constrained orbit at the same time). But after I toggle back and forth between constrained and free orbit, the orbiting behaves normally. I have to do this toggling every time I open a part or enter sketch mode, and sometimes when exiting sketch mode.
Another way to have the same effect as toggling to free-constrained-free, is to click somewhere on the top right cube. As soon as I click on the cube's "front" face for instance, the free orbiting behavior becomes normal.
Thanks,
Andre

Ey Andre,
I am finding strange things happening to me today with the orbit centre going to pick potatoes...

Hi DreBz,
In addition to going to the Constrained Orbit tool and back to Free Orbit, these also worked for me to work around the bug:
This bug has been there for a long long time, I'm surprised to find it still there after a 2 year absence from F360. Just posted more about it here, there's a pattern to it occuring/disappearing. I've quoted your original screencast as it shows the problem very clearly, thanks.
I hope it'll get a higher priority to get fixed.
Hope this helps
