Forum post upload image fails on OSX Safari (latest) - was forced to use Chrome instead

When posting an image (gif) to my latest forum post the upload fails in Safari (Version 14.0 (15610.1.28.1.9, 15610) on OSX. I was forced to use Chrome to make it work for me.
