Form asking for phone number

Trying to download eval copy but after logging in and getting to window asking for company info it states invalid phone number. Whether I type in 1 or the 408 area code it gives invalid number ~

How can I download the eval copy? I was on a Mac laptop last week and downloaded it, but after receiving an Windows OS Dell laptop upgrade I am having an issue. Screenshots attached.

Perhaps try the NANP format. For me in the UK, it would look as such:

+44 123 456 7890.

If that doesn't work, maybe just try the same format that you would use for national calls. It may be guessing the country code from the input location box above.

Hi @Anonymous ,

So if you type your whole 10 digit phone number it says its in an invalid format? Are there any spaces or hypens? What if you type it similar to 4085555555, or xxx-xxxxxxxx - does it end up submitting or same issue.

Since a phone number is involved - happy to talk privately to get this sorted.

Thanks,

Apparently the 1 evokes an error flag. Remove that and it's configured for a 9 digit number.

Just ran into this issue. For anyone else having problems, I figured it out by going to my Autodesk account profile, under Personal Information, fill in your phone number there, and it will show you the format it is expecting. Then enter it as shown there.

For me what worked is this format: +## ## ### ## ##

FYI, the formatting changes between when you actually enter your phone number in your profile and to when you save it and it it shown. Like this:

When entering number: +## (###) ###-###
When saved and displayed: +## ## ### ## ##

Nothing works. Formats I've tried:

+1 XXX XXX XXXX

(XXX) XXX XXXX

XXXXXXXXXX (9 digits)

1XXXXXXXXXX (10 digits)

XXX-XXX-XXXX

1-XXX-XXX-XXXX

I'm kind of shocked that none of these works.

I'm having the same problem in the process of downloading Fusion 360 for personal use and maybe also for a start-up. Already tried different formats and nothing seems to work. Please somebody that knows how to?

Thanks for the tag @CGBenner ,

For reference, at the start of the post there was an issue with the phone number field which had since been resolved.

@vc.serrano - which webpage are you using? Can you copy/paste the URL? Knowing the country and which website you are visiting is important.

Feel free to email me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com. Happy to dig into more details and help you get a license.

Thanks,

Trying to setup Fusion for my Son to learn, and you can't use a cellphone number.

and in  New Zealand I had to use a land line number, My son doesn't even know what a land line is!

Since he was born in to today's modern tech sector.

+643xxxxxxx

Luckily my parents still have one.

This was a trippy experience.. The form seems to be nowadays in three phases where in the first phase you are supposed to enter your email address, in second phase your name and phone number and in the last phase, the country you live in, zip code and accept the terms. At first it seemed impossible to continue from the 2nd step to the third one as the phone number field didn't accept any number I inputted. Until I tried some random US number.. By entering a US number, I was able to proceed to the third phase, but when I selected my country (other than US), entered my zip code and accepted the terms, the submit button was disabled and I couldn't continue. Until I figured out that I have to now go back to the second phase and change my phone number to correspond the country selection made in the third phase 😄 Now I was able to enter my actual phone number and continue to the third phase and complete the download wizard. This is crazy UI. You have to know to enter an arbitrary US number in order to proceed to the next step, enter your country and then go back to fix the phone number 😄 Please fix this.

This is still broken.  The obove post has the work around. Insane as it sounds just find any US phone number to move to the next step. Set your country then go back and put in a real phone number and proceed.

When will this be resolved?

As insane as it is, i just came to this forum with the same issue. I'm in the US and it only worked if i threw a random UK phone number. HOWEVER, I think i found the solution. Or, at least my solution. If you go to the sign in button at the top right corner of the page, immediately to the left of it should be a flag which is a location indicator. I think the page interprets the users IP incorrectly and that's breaking something in the verification process. Any users that are running into this problem please make sure that your location is set correctly otherwise you're gonna have a bad time. As for phone number formatting, after I got my location set correctly the XXXXXXXXXX format worked just fine and inputted my country code (+1) at the beginning as soon as I finished typing the last digit. Hope this helps y'all @James.Youmatz

I had this issue when trying to sign up for Fusion 360 personal use. I got it to work by signing in on my iPhone and using my normal number. No number would work on my Windows desktop.

This is somehow still a problem. What I had to do was click on the globe icon in the top right that had my country next to it, click on another county, then click back to my own. Then I was able to fill in the form and it correctly formatted the phone number for me after I typed it. For reference I'm in the US and after doing the steps it accepted a 10 digit number typed with no spaces or dashes, such as 1235551234.

What a terrible design. Absolutely shocking.
