Hey Questions....

I have been reading forms on importing fonts to Fusion.... I have downloaded and installed many fonts that are "fancy" cursive and really any font. I download them and then restart my computer. When I load fusion back up they are in the font list but they don't display as the font type just as like times new roman. Has anyone had this issue? The fonts work in word and everywhere else.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community!

I found some font-related forum threads as below. Please check the below pages. I hope they are helpful!

** Fusion only supports TTF fonts for modeling operations. If you can share TTF font, we will be able to investigate closer.

If it is a symbolic font, there may be some limitations.  Fusion purposely excludes symbolic fonts - see this thread for more detail.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

hi, i wrote a response, it seems to be gone, so once again.

I have a font that worked fine, now for, i think a few month, it does not work anymore. Shows up, when i select it than it is a default font, not the looks that belong to the font type.

.ttf attached

ps: now i know why my post is gone, if i add a .ttf it does not post,  .zip works fine

Hi @rtepas,

Thank you for sharing the font file!

As I tested this on my end,  I found that the font did not show the looks in the Sketch mode although the font type was listed in the Text command window.  However, it showed the looks in the Drawing mode.  Did this font work fine in the Sketch mode as well?

Hopefully this helps.

If you have any questions, please let me know and I'm happy to help!

Thanks.

Hi @rtepas,

Thank you for your reply!

The drawing mode is a workspace to create a 2D drawing from 3D model.  In the workspace, I was able to create texts using "Corrodo Normal" as below screenshot.

If you have a design file using this font in the sketch, would you mind sharing the file with me so that I can take a closer look at this with my colleagues?  If it is okay with you, can you please share a public link to the file, by posting in this thread or sending me (kanehiko.saito@autodesk.com)?

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks.

Hi @rtepas,

Thank you for sharing the design!

I was unable to find text entities (using the Text command in Sketch).  The text "VR6" in sketch seemed to be creating by importing or creating in "Sketch 1" of the design file.  I thought you tried to create "VR6" using the Text command with the "Corrado Normal" font - if I misunderstood this, I would appreciate your sharing a bit more detail about this!

Can you please let me know which "Sketch" you created in browser or timeline?

Thanks.

Hi @rtepas,

Thank you for your reply!

I've logged the behavior (regarding Corrado font worked fine in the previous versions of Fusion) with our development team for the further investigation. (internal ID: FUS-42810)  I will get back here once I have something to share!  Thank you for your patience.

At this time using a vector graphical editor such as Inkscape, I would create texts in the font type and converted to outline; then export in SVG to Fusion - the below link would help how to do this:

Getting any Text and SVG file into Fusion 360 to work

Hopefully this helps.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you tell us what you are specifically concerned about, we can say something about it.

If you are saying your have a Font file, probably TTF type, that does not show up in Fusion 360 text list after adding it to Windows, the reason may be that Fusion works with OTF fonts better.  Use one of the online font conversion sites to change the font to OTF.  When installing, make sure Fusion 360 is not running.
