Flat Pattern Align Error

Hi All:

The enclosed file has a BoxExternal Sheet Metal Component.  I originally created this Component and converted it to Sheetmetal  with 1.87mm Radius.  A flat pattern was then created.  After changing the Sheet Metal Rule to use a 1.5mm bend radius, a flat pattern cannot now be generated (gives a Flat Pattern Align Error and no other explanation).  Even upon changing back the Radius to 1.87mm or larger, the error continues to occur.

What to do?

Thanks!

Not even considering the Styles - Thickness,

your part is not uniform thickness as it is missing inside bend radii.

Even if Fusion could do zero radius bends - the minimum outside radius would have to be equal to the material thickness.  The inside bend radius is usually greater than zero - often equal to the thickness as a minimum.

Great observation - Thanks, but here's a related question.  When selecting Bend Radius under a Sheet Metal Rule, is that an internal or an external radius?

The fact that I was able to create a flat pattern, BEFORE altering the 14 gauge Sheet Metal Rule from 1.87mm to 1.5mm seems odd?   Bug?

The Sheet Metal Rule - Bend Radius is the inside radius.

I think Fusion should have returned an error on you original Flat Pattern.

Sounds like a bug to me.
