Finding Center for an Inserted Canvas

When I entered form mode and inserted a Background Canvas, I could not see the center of the canvas, which I needed to use for alignment purposes. The first image is what I see, and the second one is the one I'm expecting.  How can I get the center to show in my software?

If you edit your image, that will be your canvas, and center the image on it, when you insert it as a Canvas, the image will be on center as you can see in the Screencast.  Unless I am truly not understanding you, this will work every time.  So if you can create a Screencast and show the process you are using that does not place the image centered, that would be very helpful.  I suspect all you need to do is edit your image to create one where the canvas view is centered to start with.

I Redid the entire thing and the problem seems to have gone away. I may have clicked on some setting inadvertently. Thank you for the solution. Regards
