Sketch Fillet does not support trimmed ellipses today.  Instead, can you apply the fillet in the solid model instead?

The reason is that an ellipse is a very complex entity so the Fillet command, in sketch mode, cannot calculate the radius.  It is better to add the Fillets in Solid mode anyway, do it there.

another approach, if you decide there is some compelling reason to want to do this in a sketch (I would not do that) is to just add the arc yourself.  You can set tangent constraints to the line and the ellipse, and specify a radius.  You don't need to do the trim (in fact, there is really no reason to trim the ellipse in the first place), because you can just select the needed profiles for any feature.
