Fill a gap between two surfaces

I'm trying to fill a gap between these two surfaces. There was probably a significantly better way to model the part that I'm making, but this was my second attempt and trust me, this is WAY better than my first. But this gap is vexing me. It seems that the lofted part in the middle of the component doesn't act like a normally created primitive. So working with its surfaces and edges is weird. Anyway, I've basically got this where I need it except for the highlighted gap. Any tips?

Thanks,

Sam

If you have a sketch with that opening - Extrude the profile in the sketch.

If you don’t have the sketch yet,

make one in the vertical alignment.  Project the body’s to the sketch, and then Extrude the profile.

That would be an accurate assessment 😉

I'd start by constraining and dimensioning sketches where passible.

I added another hack to your design that is almost as bad as your hacks, but it should get you on the home stretch.
