Files stuck uploading

I recently updated my Fusion 360 and started working on a new design.

At first when I saved the design it didn't want to upload, and the design was gone in the project browser.

When I remade the design, I've ran into the same problem. But this time I saved it locally and uploaded it to the Fusion cloud in the browser.

But now I noticed the old design and the newer ones I have made are all stuck uploading in Fusion 360.

I tried to follow this steps in this link but the clearing commands don't do anything.

I have tried to reinstall Fusion 360 but the files repeared to be stuck in the upload window.

And because of this I have to force quit Fusion to close it, because it's telling me that there are still jobs remaining. I have left this window open the whole afternoon, but no progress...

And suggestion how I would be able to clear these files?

@Dorus @Can you please go to help-support and diagnostics - get diagnostics log files and attach the zip file here?

Are you on windows or Mac? Based on OS can give you a suggestion to get these unstuck.

one thing to do is to reset the router to see if that would help.

@RajkumarIlanchelian Thank you for your reply. I've attached the zip file to this message.

I am on a windows PC. I have rebooted both PC and router, with no noticeable changes.

@Dorus There are some errors showing up in the logs that point to some sort of network issues.

1. Can you please close Fusion 360
2. Restart your router
3. Start Fusion 360 and see if the files now move in the upload queue?

If this does not help then we can go down a few other options.

@RajkumarIlanchelian Thank you for your reply, I'll have a look at my home network to see if I could find anything there. I have not noticed any network issues so far, because everything seems to work like normal.

But its worth a try.

I'm facing the very same issue,

I've done a clean re-install deleted the queue, removed all the pending uploads and resetted my router many times. Then digging into the logs I found this message regarding S3 bucket upload

E 4292 UPLOAD 28 https://com-autodesk-oss-direct-upload.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/b5 .... dt=120.00 Operation timed out after 120000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

The upload is triyng to send data to S3 (always receiving a timeout) since yesterday at 01 A.M. CEST

I already tried to access the bucket URL and it is working correctly.
Any hint?

Thank you!

@g.giovinazzoJDJQP Thank you for adding the details from the log. I am checking within our engineering team on this. This is likely when we do see some slow network but I am confirming that with the team. Will post back here.

@RajkumarIlanchelian I think I found the cause of the problem. My upload speed of my network is lower than normal.

I was still able to upload files to the cloud of the autodesk site, but Fusion seems to have some trouble with lower upload speeds.

@Dorus Is it possible to connect to say a hotspot from your mobile or something or a different network if possible to see if that helps?

If you run a speediest, what is the upload speeds showing up as?

I also made a speed test and I received a result of roughly 500Mbps (max speed my internet provider gives me).

My laptop is connected to the router through a 1Gbps switch so I can tell you is not a WIFI issue.

Today I can try to make a test to see if there is some sort of packet dropping in the connection.

I'll let you know.

@RajkumarIlanchelian I did a speettest, at had around 70 Mbps down and between 0,6 and 1 Mbps upload.

With a hotspot on my phone I got a got 7 Mbps down and around 1 Mbps upload.

Yesterday I had my laptop at a friends place, and that is were things seems to start working again.

But didn't do a speedtest there unfortunately.

@Dorus @g.giovinazzoJDJQP When you are back on your networks that you are experiencing this can you please do the below:

1. Set up an environment variable OS3_USECDN=0

Now go about your workflow and see if you are experiencing the same issue? To clarify what this variable does is, it takes another approach to upload the files on potentially slower networks than the default that likely is causing this issue.

@RajkumarIlanchelian

Thank you very much. In my case adding the ENV variable solved the issue.

Anyway I'll try to make a fresh Windows install and see if there's something wrong with the OS.

@g.giovinazzoJDJQP Thank you for the quick confirmation. We look into how we can do this automatically if we do detect slower networks without the need for a variable etc.

@RajkumarIlanchelian Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but where do I insert the set up variable?

I have tried the command line, but its telling me there is no such command.

@Dorus This is the Windows environment variable.(value will be OS3_USECDN=0)

There are many articles on how to create one. Search for Windows environment variable.
