Hi, I have problem with my file size. The limist I must fit in is 50 MB and my file is 71 MB, is there any possible way I can compress my file and still saving it as f3d or f3z?

Hey nikodemtym,

We don't have any compression options for export file types in Fusion. have you tried just compressing the file after exporting? Sometimes that has the effect of making the file smaller.

Another option that might help is reducing the amount of unnecessary geometry in your design. For example, if you're using fasteners downloaded from McMaster-Carr those models can have large amounts of unnecessary geometry like threads, fillets, chamfers, etc.

In general it's a good practice to model fasteners as simply as possible while keep critical geometry, such as the diameter of the screw shaft.

f3d and f3z file are Zip files. I can open then with 7zip and they already show quite good compression.

This is a f3d within a f3z, tring to zip the file again doesn't reduce the size so guess the files Fusion exports are already pretty well compressed.

You can make the file somewhat smaller by saving with the Timeline in a rolled-back state, but probably not as much as you want.  The actual difference depends on what is in your design.
