file saving issue

I have a design that won't update or save. If I click "get latest" I get a warning that says:

"Could not open the latest version of the document myfilename. Do you want to try opening a previous version of it instead?"

If I click yes I get an error that says "could not fetch the latest version of this document"

If I try to save this file a window pops up allowing me to input version description but the "ok" button is greyed out.

Not sure how to recover this, help would be appreciated.

Hi @prettygoodnotbad – If the issue is still happening for you, can you share your log files right after attempting Get Latest as well as Save? https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

Hi @AnandSomani thanks for the reply, attached is the log files, I get an error message directly when I open the file

(Could not open the latest version of the document pattes-acc-arr-v3. Do you want to try opening a previous version of it instead) as well as when I attempt to get latest, I don't know if it will log anything when I try to save because the save button is grey out so I can't click on it.

Thanks @prettygoodnotbad.

Looks like the latest version v20 of pattes-acc-arr-v3 was not fully uploaded to cloud for some reason. So Fusion is opening v19 for you instead, and when you click Get Latest, it is trying to get v20, but fails again because of same reason.

Do you remember if you saved v20 from a different computer? Perhaps Fusion 360 was closed before the upload was finished.. in which case if you log in to Fusion 360 again from that same computer, it will finish the upload.

And if you are okay to discard the changes from v20, you can open v19 and go to File > "Save As Latest". It will create a new v21 version which will be identical to v19 and then regular Save command will be available again.

I only work on one computer so there is no chance it was from a different one. I had done quite a few changes in v20 which I would prefer not losing, would you have any other suggestions? if not I will try "save as latest".

@prettygoodnotbad – Unfortunately, no 😓. I checked both – the logs you shared, and also the service logs in the backend. Neither hints at any way to find v20.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
