File Corruption

Hi, I am a hobbyist license user. After 18 months of relatively successful use, I experienced a crash yesterday and struggled to log back in. I managed to log in this morning and out of 6 editable documents, the one I was in when the crash occurred would no longer open. All of my editable documents are now giving me a file corrupted message when I attempt to open them. F360 now crashes on opening. Please advise. Regards, David

Hi @williams.devauden

Can you try the solution in this article?

If the most recent version of your files are not able to be opened, can you try opening an earlier version of the same files? Do those open?

Cheers,

Karina

Hi Karina,

Thanks for the response.

After the initial crash, F360 auto generated a fault report which was answered by this suggestion. I used the F360 Service Utility as suggested to reset. The cache file in the library had an updated date on it.

Throughout yesterday, I continued to experience huge instability in opening F360 with lots of crashes on opening and when it did open and I tried to access files, I received all of the file corrupt messages.

I now have F360 open again, but that probably took 10 minutes plus.  If I try and access details of the editable file versions to try and reload, I just get the spinning wheel - no details are returned. This has been running now for 15+ minutes.

Thanks, David

Hi Karina,

I've tried the suggestions in the linked article again this morning and five out of the 6 files are fine with some minor loss of work in one file.

One file is still an issue. When I open F360 and the data panel, one file shows with a permanently spinning cursor and cannot be opened, or the details checked. Any way to release the lock on the file?

All sorted. This is the first significant issue I've experienced is far with F360 and with your help Karina, it was very easy to resolve. Many thanks, David
