hi Group

there is no feed height control in 2d adaptive?  how do i control the feed height?

I don't want it to just plug into the job i need to control the speed and height that it feeds in.

please advise.

Well, it depends a fair amount on the geometry. Can you share your file or at the very least a screenshot of what you're trying to do? In some instances, you can define a ramp move, but that's not an option for open pockets (pockets that aren't fully enclosed). With the use of some sketches, it can be forced to ramp, but that's not a universal solution. Oft times, 3D Adaptive can handle this sort of thing better.

So yeah, file would help a lot.

File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Hi Seth

thankyou for your reply.

please see file enclosed, I am only making one part and the jaws get machined at the same time as the part.

also i did another post earlier today in relation to this file regarding simulating the cutter going into jigs / clamps. I wanted to see this happen but not by using the stock model as that effects the 2d adaptive containment.

is it possible to simulate the jaws being machined as well as the stock?
