Hello,

There is a feature Solidworks has that is called Curve Driven Pattern.  

I really want to design our product parametrically using Fusion 360, but currently we are unable to do this due to the complex geometry and the way it wraps around a cylinder.

It allows you to pattern on a path normal to a curved surface.

This would keep my geometry correct; instead of following a path normal to the original plane it would follow a path and keep things tangent to the surface.

That would indeed be a nice feature. Fusion 360 has quite a ways to grow in some modeling areas.
