Feature request - Snap decal to surface

Decals work fine for things that do not exactly need to be at a certain position. But when you need to have multiple decals exactly at the same position and size, as the button labels in the attached screenshot, then decals are quite a pain the back. You can never get them all at the same spot.

That works perfect with canvas, you can chain that to a face instantly. But canvas does not or does not show up well in renders (also see attached image).

I find it strange that the only way to put an image onto an object, and render it, is with a decal and that there's no way to exactly position a decal. Am I the only one that needs this?

Hi,

Create and position a transparent object in top of your „button“ and then add your image to it as a decal.

But using a decal still leaves me with no way to position it exactly as far as I know. Every video I see, people are just dragging and scaling it to its approximate location and that's it. For me it has to be on the exact spot with the exact size.

With a canvas (image), you can select the face, and if your image aspect ratio is correct, it automatically covers the whole face at the correct size. It would be great if a decal could do that too.
