Feature request: path-parametric Pattern on Path

The Pattern on Path feature is very powerful, but so far I have found in all of my use cases that I really want to give dimension information in path-parametric terms. That is, I want to specify numbers in the range 0.0 and 1.0, not in millimeters, much as one does for Plane Along Path. (0.0 is one end of the path, 1.0 is the other end, and 0.5 is halfway along, however long the path might be.)

In particular, my needs generally fall into the form "Put N widgets evenly spaced along this path, with the first widget at one end and the last widget at the other end."

I can definitely see the use case for physical units (e.g., millimeters), but that seems like a more specialized case.

Tried Extents?

Full length of the path is obtained by dragging the blue handle to the end, then multiply the value by your desired proportion.

Extent * 0.66, will go two thirds of the path.

Might help...

Yep, that's what I do (although I usually just use the Measure option in the popup menu). But this is a nonparametric hack that breaks as soon as the path changes, is it not?

Not tested that, your probably correct.

I don't mind doing the multiplication. If there were an automatic parameter (e.g., path_length) that was automatically set to the path length, that would fix the issue for me. (Though that doesn't seem like a very F360-like way of doing things.)

I should point out also that Pattern on Path references an existing path from outside the Sketch environment. Therefore, I would think there's no possibility of dependency complications resulting from the use of path-parametric coordinates. By the time Pattern on Path executes, the path is a known and fixed entity.
