Feature request: Cut command with tolerance

Hi,

I raised the topic a long time ago, this is a new try...

I have exactly the same "problem" mentioned here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AcsJ81iXvA&t=4s

I often do this the described way or after cutting i try to rework the faces which have then the tolerance "0" with the offset command (e.g. -0.1 mm) But when you have more complex shapes you will get errors that the new faces are not "constractable" or get corrupted and the offset command is not performed or you have a huge amount of new faces that you have to handle and "loose" a lot of time.

So wouldn't it be nice to have a cut command which is doing the cut and then perform an offset (which you can set as an option (tolerance) of the cut command) for the resulted bodies?

Thanks a lot

@xpuipc - this is a good request and is already on our list of enhancements.  No guarantees about when it would get implemented, however...

@g-andresen : Thank you for the hint.. if you are lucky this works fine...but when you have a more complex shape you get this error (sorry is in german) it is a bit like "i can not do it because deleting faces leads to errors i can not repair":

...you can then play with the offset value...but mostly with the same result...

@jeff_strater : Thank you for the info, so please put it +1 on the ranking of the feature list :). One can save so much time and i think this is a huge productivity gain...

Thank you
