FEA checkboxes to select components disappeared

In the SIMULATION environment, under "Simulations->Simulation Model -> Model Components" I would normally deselect the check-box of the components I don't want to include in the study.

Today in place of the check box there is only a light bulb. I can change the visibility, but all the components are part of the study (because I find them in the "contacts"). I don't want this!

See in the attachment two screen-shots, where you can see that the check-box is not available any longer. The screen shot with the check boxes was made some months ago.

Am I doing something wrong?

I noticed that the naming of the three items changed slightly, and that there is a new icon "simplify" in the top bar.

Hi Giorgio,

The Simulation environment changed with the last update.

What you need to do know to "Deselect" components for a simulation is to use the "Simplify" button on the toolbar.

From there you want to "right click" on the components you want to deselect by using the "Remove" option.

This will build a timeline so you can track your work and regress.

Operations done within the NEW "Simplify" environment do not affect your model in the "Model" environment.

This will only affect your model for Simulation purposes.

There are many new tools within the "Simplify" environment.  Yu may want to test them and play with them.

Hope this answers your question and helps you! Smiley Happy

Good luck!

IK, thanks for the useful tips.  But I believe was much easier the select/deselect option in the previous version, using the checkbox.

Thanks,

Hello IK,

I have a related question:  if I remove a component from simplify environment, and later I want to turn it back on, how to do it?
