What options are you looking for ?

Two of my favorites would be:

1. local vs. cloud-only export.

2. Object specific tessellation settings.

Hello, for me the choice to have high quality tessellation export, if I export with the current fbx in fusion then the quality is really very bad, lots of issues on a complex model, but using the Prototech fbx plugin it works great (but it's paid), but for such an important 3D format used for texturing it would really be good to have more quality options. Cloud or local is ok.

Agreed! That is particularly the case because FBX is an Autodesk proprietary export format.

@jodom4 I remember that we've had a conversations about options for some of the exporters. Has this progressed any ?

@hansvaneven I was not aware of this plugin and have to check it out. Thanks for sharing!

@TrippyLighting Oh I didn't knew about this being an Autodesk proprietary format, indeed even more important then 👍

Hey guys,

I'll ask around and let you know if I find anything. I'm not sure where FBX export is on the priority list at this time.

Is there any progress on this?

I too used Prototech Solutions' FBX Exporter plugin but the demo only lasts about 7 days. It's a very useful plugin with tesselation, model quality and scaling options.

FBX is a very important file format and Fusion 360 definitely needs a local FBX exporter with different options. All of the software I use can export and import FBX files without addons/plugins. It is so weird that I need to use a paid plugin to export a file in a widely-used and industry-standard format.
