Favorite materials not stored in cloud?

Are favorite materials (not appearance!) still not stored in the cloud so they are available to me on different computers without copying and pasting a file between computers?

If they are in the cloud, do I have to do something to enable it?

I'd add that while I initially said "not appearances", I guess at this time I'd really like both materials and appearances to all be cloud stored.

So, I was checking on this again, and apparently this is marked as implemented back in 2017 in this thread:

This does not seem to be implemented. Is that thread marking it as implemented the reason this is not happening, it just is off the roadmap because someone accidentally marked it as "working" when it is not?
