fasteners - Some suggestions

hi

great idea the fasterner function

love it !

i have two suggestions :

1. please merge the 'hole' function with fasteners - it s a bit useless to create a hole and than add a fasterner - that can be done in one step

2. show a list of 'which' fastener(s) and 'how many of those' you have used in the design - would be a great help to plan purchases

those implementations would really help a lot !

Hi jvh674QU83,

 thank you for your feedback.

WRT 2) show a list of 'which' fastener(s) and 'how many of those' you have used in the design - would be a great help to plan purchases

It's already there .... you have to create Drawing from your design with inserted Fasteners and insert Parts List table where you can see both infomration .... fasteners info (like description) + quantity

tnx for this !

and waw that solution is well hidden 😉

and i m not going through the drawing for production...

why don t you add that in the fasteners list in the browser ?

now you have for every location one complete set of the same fasterner

can you imagine if you use 80 fasteners

would be better to add the name of the fastener (with the number of used behind it)

+ for each fastener used a body

Hi jvh674QU83,

unfortunately BOM data are available only in Drawing env. in Parts List table for now.

You don't have to create - I mean Save your drawing. You can create Parts List even into the unsaved/untitled document and do Export to CSV file (from the Export menu - last one on the right in Drawing env).

@Roman_VeselyAre there any plans to improve the BOM workflow for fusion in the future?

Hi jordan783ZS,

BOM management is already implemented as part of the Fusion 360 Manage with Upchain.

Is that not a wholly separate product also requiring the use of the manage
extension?
