Failure to renew F360

As others have pointed out, there is a failure loop taking place when following the instructions to renew.
This was provided to me by an Autodesk employee on the F360 team via email:
'You can renew Fusion 360 for personal every term your term expires by following these steps (since the HTML was removed, I cannot post the link) but the headline on that page is:
'How to renew a start up/personal license for Fusion 360'
I am getting 12 days remaining warnings and would like to renew the personal version before that date comes. Unfortunately, I followed the instructions, downloaded the latest and installed it and I cannot seem to get the renewal to take.
It would be good if an official solution to this were posted here so everyone including myself can successfully renew the personal version.
I am on a mac, running the latest Catalina.
