fails to install at 99%

install/update fails with message missing file

I have tried auto uninstall, manual uninstall, register edit to clear previous versions and failed update

Win 10 1803(with latest updates) on 2.6GHz i5 with 8Gb ram

Have a look here: Error: "-2147024894, 'The system cannot find the file specified.'" while installing Fusion 360

I would suspect it might be antivirus if the cleanup didn't do it.

following the link helped remind me about Win 10 Ransomeware protection, which appears to turn on when reboot,

so was on when I thought was off. The reference to user account is different in Win 10.

The clearing of temp files may have helped but not sure.

Oh good! i marked them both as a solution as the ransomware tip on reboot was important to note.

I will disable my Avast antivirus and reboot than see if it finishes
