Failed to open zip package

When I go to open numerous files in my team's directory, I get an error message stating Fusion "Failed to open zip package" followed by a long directory to an .f3d file. It also says that the file "is probably locked by another program".

Some of these files haven't been opened in weeks. I've checked with another team member, and he is able to open them without issue.

I've read that it may be related to a corrupted recovery file. Is there a way to fix this?

Hello @Anonymous

I am encountering the same error.  Were you ever able to get a solution to the problem?

Thanks,

Jeff

Nope. But it looks like the problem has magically gone away on its own.

If I recall correctly, I was able to download a Fusion archive of my files from the online portal, then reopen them in Fusion successfully. That was a bit of a pain, though.

I started having the very same problem a few days ago.  After trying the actions mentioned in a few different threads in this forum to no avail, I finally - and on somewhat of a whim - renamed a folder that was called out in the error message:

    c:/Users/.../AppData/Local/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/YWZRQQ74R76C

(That last subfolder will probably have a different name on your PC.  Also, I suppose you could even just delete that subfolder; I didn't just to be safe.)  Then, I started Fusion 360 and observed that the folder I had renamed was recreated with the original name as I watched its parent folder in Windows Explorer.  After that, I was able to open my project.

Along with the error that occurred when trying to open a specific project, I had also found that whenever I tried to open a 2D drawing within the project, Fusion would just crash. That problem was also fixed by the above actions.
