F360 stuck in 'Offline: Maintenance mode' - Did a clean install, now just crashes

Hi everyone

I have a bizarre issue with F360 where it was locked in Offline: Maintenance mode and would not recognize that there was an internet connection.

Did some digging and found this guide that should fix the issue, followed all the trouble shooting steps, which unfortunately did not fix the issue.

I then did a clean uninstall of F360 and then installed it through my Autodesk account and now F360 displays these errors (attached below) when starting up, then crashes.

I'm wondering also if my student license has expired and whether that could be causing the issue.

Any help would be great

Glad to help.

This should have nothing to do with your license.

I do not see any crash reports from you. Did you send in the crash reports including your email address? Those will be very helpful to find out what's going on.

I wasn't given the option/prompt to submit a crash report when Fusion 360 crashed.

Is there an email address I could send the application log files to instead? (if that would be helpful)

Here is a help article for manually gathering logs.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

Do you use more than one Autodesk ID? (like a student login ID and a work login ID)

I only have my student login ID for Autodesk, no work ID.

I have attached the log files also, hope that helps.

I tried that and it didn't work, then I noticed that a Windows update had just been released, updated windows then did those steps and it worked.

So I presume it was a combination of the Proxy Server being configured wrong and something wrong with Windows.

Update: That solution worked for two sessions, Fusion now still launches and is usable, it is just now stuck in 'Offline: Maintenance mode'. So I can't access any online data, whether that be projects or simulations.

I manually configured the Proxy Server again, also tried turning it off and neither worked.

I have attached an update on the Diagnostic Logs hoping that may help.

Thanks for the logs and your patience. The article mentions at the end an entitlement sync issue, and that is beyond my ability, but I will ask for help.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you actually use a proxy, or did you just set this up to try some of the suggested fixes per the article? If you do not use it I would definitely turn it off/revert your changes. I can see in your logs:

20200810T171656 E 1597045605880 1597045615888 GET https://login.autodesk360.com/login/api/system/info 28 Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 out of 0 bytes received

Can you reach https://login.autodesk360.com/login/api/system/info via a web browser or does it time out? By chance if you navigate to C:/users/(your username)/appdata/local, is the Autodesk folder hidden. (By default AppData should be hidden, but the rest of the folders in appdata/local should not be). I've seen this be the culprit before.

Thanks,

Actually just did some more digging, and I think @Phil.E might be onto something.

Can you go to an incognito window and try to login to login.autodesk360.com  and see if it succeeds? If it fails, can you send me a screenshot.

Thanks,

@James.Youmatz Thank you! It was a combination of the proxy and my ISP being the issue.

I already had a proxy set up, not sure why since I don't need one - the only reason turning off the proxy did not work the first time is that my ISP randomly blocks services for some reason. One day I was unable to access anything from Microsoft for the entire day 😕
