F360 drawing module keeps crashing. OSX

Hi guys,

I'm a big fan of F360, and it has worked pretty good until now. I'm doing some drawings for new parts, but the drawing module keeps crashing and crashing. Sometimes it crashes when I try to load a drawing, sometimes it crashes when I want to set a dimension, and sometimes during export (pdf). It has crashed more than 20 times today, and it's getting very frustrating since I've deadlines to follow.

Can you please help me out? What can I do?

I have the latest release

OSX 10.15.5

rMBP early 2017

Hi @niklas,

Are you getting any error codes?

Can you upload your crash logs? https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...

I also found this solve thread which may help you: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/drawing-keeps-crashing/td-p/9081692

I actually just performed a "clean install" per the steps in the below link and it seemingly fixed my problem. I haven't had a crash as of yet, but I really only needed to re-export an update of 1 multi-page print. So very limited sample size, but I think it works.

Here are the steps below.

Same problem here! Drawings are almost unusable. It freezes randomly. Sometimes when I zoom, sometimes when I place a view, sometimes when I put a dimension and so on.

I also posted this situation here:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/drawing-keeps-crashing/m-p/9655358/highlight/true#...

With the previous release of Fusion 360 I didn't have these behaviour.

I tried the clean installation but the freezing problems stay. It is so hard that I need to restart my computer.

Autodesk Fusion 360 v2.0.8624

Any help??

Apparently the issues were related to a drivers' update:

https://mrmacintosh.com/2020-002-update-causes-some-macs-to-freeze-when-using-hw-accelerated-video/

I installed the 2020-004 Security Updates for macOS Mojave and, since that, everything works fine on Drawings.

Regards,

Sergio.
