Extrude from sketch changes profile extruded

Any extrudes changes the profiles selected.  The extruded object is not valid.

Trying to clean up the sketch!  It is from a much larger project.  Other than starting over, how to fix?

thanks,

mark

You post does not explain what your issue truly is.  From what I can read, you say the sketch gets messed up if you Extrude anything from it into the base body.  I did a Screencast to show it works as expected.  Your sketch is a little complex, I would separate it into multiple sketches but it is fully constrained.  Please clarify your issue with a Screencast of your own.

when you say "Any extrudes changes the profiles selected.", do you mean that a different profile is extruded on OK than you selected in the command?  I have seen cases like this before, but I do not seem to be able to reproduce it in your design.  If you can just grab a screenshot of the profile you are selecting that is not matched correctly on OK, I would be happy to look into that.

Dang me, didn't see the "insert" button on the screencast.  But I get a error about invalid HTML when inserting.

The lower circle appears to be the culprit.

I was trying to clean this thing up!  Done when I was starting out.

thanks!

I've enclosed two files, one with the selected profile (not in sketch mode) and the other the resulting extrusion.

After selecting the profile, I hit the extrude button, give it 5 mm depth and hit OK.  The resulting body lacks the lower circle.

I'll look into breaking the sketch into multiples.

thanks,

This sketch was brought in from another component or body, not that it should make any difference.  I copied the sketch to a new file and the same extrusion issue happens.  You can Extrude it, but you have to do it separately.  I will leave this one to the Autodesk Pro's and follow it with great interest.

Edit: If you Trim it out to the final sketch, it works just fine.

thanks for the info.  That is what we needed.  I created bug FUS-97062 for this.

Just FYI - I would probably make more of that sketch be construction geometry, but this still should work as is.
