Extremely bogged down performance on a simple design

Hello, so I'm designing a fish tank basket to separate a fish during feeding times. It's a simple square basket with cross hatching. Everything was normal until I mirrored the diagonal lines to create the hatch design. After that it takes anywhere between 5 to possibly 30 minutes to process extrusions or single trims of sketch objects. I've included the file and restarting my computer now. I will update if the restart helps.

**** UPDATE****

The restart did not help and apparently it takes a while to load the file as well.

Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions

this is not a simple design.  The sketch here is very complex.  The slowness is caused by profile recognition.  If you turn profiles off, this design loads and works very quickly.

A couple of suggestions:

  1. use parametric (history) designs, not Direct Modeling
  2. do the pattern as Face or Feature pattern, not with a complex sketch
