Exporting issues with Prusa Slicer

When I want to export some mesh from Fusion360 to the prusa slicer application, it correctly opens prusa slicer and make the part slicable. However when PrusaSlicer is already open and I want to export more parts to the print surface to be sliced, it stops working. I.e. I can export one part but not several parts directly to prusa slicer, and when the application is already open, well nothing works. Of course I can also export and then import, but compared to the previously possible shortcut that's really inconvienient.

Same here. It happened during last update. Any ETA for a fix?

Thanks for reporting this issue. We do have a ticket open to work on this: FUS-171507 and hope to get a fix out as soon as is feasible

I'm assuming that you are all on a Mac OS? Or are there PC users who are also running into this?

I have the same issue and I am on Mac OS. Issue happened in Sonoma 14, and continued to happen when I updated to Mac OS 15 Sequoia.

I´m also having te same issue since the workflow for "3dPrint" has changed:

On my side you can set everything and even click "OK", but the data does not arrive at Prusa Slicer.

Im runninbg MAC OS Ventura.

I have the same issue.  Mac OS Sonoma, M2.  Occurred when I updated to the most recent Fusion 360 version.

My issue is the same as above - If Prusa Slicer is not open the model is transferred OK.  If Prusa slicer is open, no model transfer appears to occur.

I'm also on OSX Sequoia and this started happening with both BambuSlicer and Prusa Slicer. I've also tried choosing a 'custom' export and manually choosing the BambuSlicer location with no luck.

I've tried installing BambuSlicer from both .dmg file and from home-brew with the same result.

The only work around I've found is to export to disk then manually import into the slicer.

A small request to the team while fixing this issue: The "Save as Mesh" panel always defaults to "Export", which takes extra clicks to send to the external slicer program. This is a regression from the previous release where I could go from Fusion -> slicer in two clicks. Can you please have the panel remember the last "preparation type" selection?

Edit: already discussed here

I agree with this request. Please let us choose the default Save as mesh mode.

I have the same issue on latest Fusion on MacOS Sonoma and Bambu Studio. Started after last update of Fusion.

I also have this problem with the latest update.  I am on MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1 on Apple M1 chip.

The workflow to "make" completely changed and I cannot export more than one body to PrusaSlicer.  This is a big problem now.

Same problem for me with Prusa Slicr after update. I'm using a Mac Studio with M2 and Sequoia (15.0). The workflow is broken and the workaround with exporting to disk is very inconvenient.

Mac OS15 and Bambu Studio, same issue since the last update. Good to know I'm not alone in this struggle! Hopefully, we'll get a swift solution soon—before I completely lose my mind! 🙂

Hi,

Did you realise that there is a ticket (#4).

This means that the problem is being worked on.

Following the discussion it was not clear for me that the developers are really working on the ticket. But this is good news to hear. Thanks a lot for the information. 😀

Is there a place to track the status of FUS-171507 ? Apologizes I couldn't find a bug report section of the site anywhere.

Up until the last update I could simply choose 3D print from the file menu and the file would be opened in Bambu Studio ready to slice. No I have to export an STL and use that to open in Bambu Studio. I assume this is the same issue and look forward to the bug fix

Same issue here with the latest updated. SUPER annoying. Glad it's being worked on.

Also, if you choose PrusaSlicer for the application is there a directory so you can choose the correct application?
