export textures

Anonymous
Not applicable

So I am trying to understand if fusion 360 is an appropriate tool for texturing.

I exported fbx file and imported it into a browser using threejs. I want to make it look similar to what fusion 360 renders in "render workspace", but unfortunately I did not manage to achieve the same result.

Does fusion 360 export all the information related to texture? For example I used carbon fiber texture in fusion 360, but when I exported the model, I did not have this chess-like texture.

I assume that fusion 360 includes only basic data (color, metalness, roughness, but not texture map etc). Is it correct?

Does it make sense to import the model into blender first and apply all textures before importing it into a browser?

Thank you

Hey alexashin201,

With the exception of USDz (Apple proprietary AR/VR format), appearance information doesn't export with geometry in Fusion. Although this may change at some point in the future, it's not an option right now.
