Export a sketch line as .IGES

Export a sketch line as .IGES

Hey,

I am experiencing some troubles when I try to export a sketch line. I made a point spline through the vertices of my 3D model, and I need to use this line as a cut line for a CNC machine, where it should be exported as .IGES or .PTS (CNC manufacture requirement).

The problem is that F360 doesn't support .PTS files, and when I try to export only the line as .IGES, the outcome is blank. Any idea of how I could make it work?

Hi,

Why don't you generate the toolpath in the Manufacture area and create a machining file for your machine.

Hey Günther,

the problem is not the manufacturing process in F360, it's related to a third part company, so it's needed to be in these formats.

thank you

Fusion can only export curves to DWG and DXF. Not sure if Save DXF from the right click menu when clicking a sketch will work, you might have to export from the online hub. If you can't use DXF then I think you're stuck.
