Exploded View Different from Drawing Base View

I'm creating some assembly plans and wanted to explode a simple drawer assembly.  The view I created in the animation workspace is not the view that is coming over to the drawing workspace after referencing the correct storyboard.  You can see in the animation view picture the right drawer slide is positioned outside of the drawer side.  In the drawing Base view, you'll see it's located inside the drawer side.  Thoughts on what is causing this?

Hey scott_dellefave,

It looks to me like the view you have in animation space isn't one of the preset corner views on the view cube. I'm not sure whether Named Views are accessible in the Base View Orientation in Drawings, but I use this workflow all the time and I can tell you that the easiest way to ensure that Drawings follow Animation views is to use only the Home, NE, NW, SE, and SW views when creating a base view.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @scott_dellefave

Along with what @jodom4 , asked you to check. Please confirm that you are using same storyboard for creating drawing.

Cause as image showing guiding strap location is different than what shown in design.

thanks for the reply...I'm using the Home view for the Base View.  I tried switching between the other isometric views with no success either

Did you find a solution to this issue?

If not, please can you share an F3Z of your files for @nemadec & I to have a look at? You can attach the F3Z file here, or if it is sensitive, feel free to send it directly to me Clint. Brown {a} Autodesk.com
