expired subscription cannot renewing as an Educator?

Hi,

 

Sadly I got this message today : "已过期,立即购买",which I translated to English as: Already expired, purchase immediately!

 

I've tried a whole clean up of fusion and re-downloaded a new one from Educator page, but after installed, I got this message again.

 

My question is: Can I renew my free subscription again using my current Autodesk ID? Or I have to sign a new ID?

Hello @tigertooth4,

 

Did you have the software for 3 years already? Can you see the educator/student Version of the product in your Autodesk Account?

If it is expired, you need to reactivate over the education page by login in. You can use the same Autodesk ID you were using before.

Hi @michele.mk

 

Thx for reply. I did have fusion for 3 years. Right now I can't see this product in my Autodesk account. I clicked the provided link, there's Fusion360 on the page and I choose get it now.

 

Then I choose Sign in from the following button, 

 

entered my current ID (email-address) and password, which leads to the following page:

 

Where I get exactly the same page as I've got before, it says I've obtained access to this product. But I still cannot see it in my Autodesk account. 

 

So was I doing correct ?

Hello @tigertooth4,

 

Sometimes, the system is a little bit slow. You can try to refresh your Account page after clearing the cookies and cache of your internet browser and see if the Product appears.

Did you receive a confirmation email of your registration?

 

If it's not working, you can contact the education support by opening a ticket in the system.

Hi Michele,

 

I've cleaned cookies, but sadly it didn't work. I didn't receive any confirmation email either.  

 

I think I'm going to contact the education support. Is the email support ok for me? Just by filling in my information and choose the option "Find or get my Serial number and product key"?

Unfortunately it turns out the best solution so far is sign another Autodesk account, and share all my projects in the old account with the new one.

No. My case was responded by the education support team, they found by educator license has expired on Dec 2017.

They provided me a webpage, I followed the procedure provided in the page and sign in, the page responded my license has been renewed, but it may take 24hours for the renewal to activate. I waited,  but my license was still not renewed. 

 

Then I replied to education team, then no response.

Do you have the case number by any chance? So that I can check what happened? I know that too often our emails land in the spam, when a team is trying to reach out to a User.

Hi Michele,

 

Yes, I've tried the link. If I understood the steps correctly, it was essentially the third step (which was sign in using the provided button). I signed in, it said my education subscribe has renewed successfully but it actually didn't work.

Ok, so I think you have two options now:

 

- reopen your ticket number 14893037 by sending an email to the last email you have received saying that you could not register (click "reply to the email").

- or you continue to use the old Account for your others products you may have and use the new one for Fusion 360.

I think the second option works for me. Since I use Fusion360 intensively, CFD on occasion. And I've shared my designs with my new account. Thanks very much! 

 

BTW I'm a bit curious about the possible cause of the unsuccessful renewal. Any thoughts on this?

I would love to answer your question, I do not know though. I have a clue it has to do with the Autodesk Student Account, but I guess you've got that far too. 😄

I am sorry we could not help you differently. If you wish you can mark your post with the creation of a new account as solution, so that other users can see what could be a possible way to solve this kind of issues.

I did have exactly the same issue. It turned out that after reactivation of the educational license I had to go over to my Autodesk account in the user management section and assign myself to the Fusion 360 license again. After restarting Fusion 360 the license was active again.

Hope this helps somebody in the future...
