Expand user base with zero efforts

You can easily without any effort expand your user base if publish Fusion 360 in Steam store. Because any Windows application could be downloaded and ran on Linux with one click. All compatibility layers made by Valve engineers. So you not needed make a separate Linux version just publish your amazing product in Steam.

I personally speculate that we'd be more likely to release a Linux installer before going that route, but neither are currently planned to my knowledge. Linux users are generally already aware of how to run the Windows version of Fusion 360 through Proton or other compatibility layers. Furthermore, Valve (as with most distributors) takes a cut of in-app purchases on Steam, so it would not be without extra licensing and development overhead to account for a Steam integration.
