Error While using Splitting ToolError While using Splitting ToolResult of Interference ToolResult of Interference ToolI am facing an error while applying splitting body tool one body taking another body as the tool body. The error states that there is no interaction between the two bodies. Hence, I checked by using "Interference" tool. Below are the screenshots of the results of both the tools.

Here, the splitting tool is unable to find the interference while the interference tool suggests a clear overlap.

Note: I have designed both of these bodies by using "Form" tool. I have given both the bodies thickness, hence they are not 2D Sheets. Kindly help me resolve my issue. I have attached my CAD model.

Thank You

Ok ! so I tested your file on my computer - when I ran the interference it said there was no interference found which is odd because as you demonstrated there was clearly interference! but - I did achieve the result you wanted by unstitching/ offsetting certain faces and essentially turning your model into a surface model then I was able to use the face that is essentially the edge of difference between the two overlapping models! 🙂 then used the trim tool to remove the part you wanted to get rid off and finally I stitched the new shape together and with a long process reached the "Split Body" tool 🙂 🙂 🙂

I will upload a video of me doing it - not the greatest video and I had to record again after my computer crashed because of all these computing - I hope it will help you get where you need but still it seems that there is some bug from the structure of the file 🙂 - maybe it is not a bad thing to know a way around it 🙂 🙂 🙂

here is the final result image

and a video! which unfortunately didn't record any sound (womp) - I didn't record the patching in the end but I am sure you can see from the file I added the history of how it was made 🙂 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZP7DZNxEcuhkXsRBDfTt6Jw0vkzbSV59/view?usp=sharingv
