Error on building a wooden fabric-like Headboard

Hi there! I'm quite new to Fusion and I'm working on developing a headboard that looks like fabric using parametric design.

However, I'm stuck. I am having trouble getting the split body feature to work. I have created a fabric ~ 2019mm x 787mm. I've extruded the sketch to be around 101.6mm. When I go to split the bodies (i.e. using the fabric to "cut" the top of the extrusion body), I receive an error that says "No intersection between target(s) and split tool."

I see some pieces hanging off the edges and some of the "fabric" seems to pop above the extrusion.

I read that I need to close off some edges.

What do I need to do in order to get the split tool to work?screenshot.png

You surface body must be larger than the extruded block.

You Block must cover above and below the surface body.

Works when these two processes are undertaken.

My mistake. I didn't realize there was a better channel to post this in. I should have deleted this one.
