I have the educational version of Fusion. I tried to open a file sent to me by another Fusion user. When I try to open it I get an error message that says that I need to update Fusion. There is no update available. I have attached a picture of the error message. I hope you can help.

You did not say what you current Fusion version was.  It is now:

Go to your Help menu and then check your version by clicking on About Fusion icon.

I have attached a screenshot of the version information. I noticed that it has me listed as a student. I am an educator. I went through this once before where it had me listed as a student. I don't know why it changed, but it was a nightmare to get it straightened. I hope you can help.

You are way out of date with your Fusion Version.  Take a look at this article and see if it will work for you to get the latest.  If not, I suspect that you are so old that the updater will not detect your version and will not offer an update.  In this case, I would use the Fusion Service Utility to run the REPAIR Option.  The Fusion Service Utility is defined in the documents.  Do not forget to read the documents closely, there are hyperlinks to other pages you may need.

I tried the Fusion Service Utility, but it didn't fix it. I downloaded and reinstalled the software. It's working fine. I had been getting regular updates up until now. I'm not sure why it stopped updating. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.
