Error: Failed to perform boolean operation when combining bodies(Not Text)

Hello!
I'm having trouble combining two bodies together. I have been simply tracing a piece of artwork via sketchlines and offsetting them to make them fit for 3D printing. I've finished the sketch and extruded via the sketch, then combined all the extruded parts together. However, at the end, I was left with two chunks - which refuse to combine, giving me the "Failed to perform boolean operation when combining bodies" error.
My operating system is a 64-bit Windows. Any help would be appreciated.

+It should be noted that I'm very new to Fusion360, let alone modeling as a whole. All former "projects" such as these have always gotten me a Boolean error in one form or another. They happen most often to me when attempting to extrude a sketch with minor curves, and being inexperienced I tend to "solve" this issue by going back into the sketch and cutting the shape into multiple, flat-edged shapes until Fusion360 cooperates or the part refusing to be extruded is small to the point it won't be noticeable in the print.
Though I'm unsure if this is where I should ask, any additional advice to avoid this problem in the future would be appreciated.

Hi,

Before I go mad in confusion, I (inelegantly) scaled a body minimally non-uniform.

Inelegant indeed, but can't argue with results! Thank you!
