Error: Failed coilfunction for knurling.

Hi.

Happy new year everybody.

I`m trying to make a knurly pattern on a knob using the coil-function, but I get an error-message either by making the first half revolution or by mirroring it.

I get two different errormessages. Either:

or when I finally get a line and try to mirror it;

 I`ve tried to change patterns upwards and downwards. Making a new "target body" to see if I`ve done something wrong with the first object. Searching and speculating for answers. I`ve seen several videoes on youtube and it looks like this should be a easy thing to manage.

Does anyone know if I`m doing something completely wrong or if it`s a issue with the Coil-function?

Hi Günther.

My plan was to do like in the video: coil- mirror - circular pattern. The problem (like I showed in the screenshots), is the error messages I get both when I use the coil-function for cutting and the mirror-function for copying, wich means; I don`t have at base-pattern to transfer to a circular pattern. The problems occures before I get to the circular-patterns-function.

Hi,

Watch the screencast and play with the coil data, especially the coil height.

Pay attention to warnings!

Thanks for taking the time making the video.

I tried doing it exactly like you did, but I still get the error-message:

As you can see the sketch is a bit shifted compared to the body, but like you, I just move the body in position when editing. I tried altering revolutions from 0,25 to 1 and section size 1 to 2, but it`s still the same error-message:

Hi.

I tried the repair-function. That was a good suggestion, but it`s still the same:

Maybe I should try to delete Fusion and reinstall it? I don`t know. I`ve been going at this for weeks now... I just can`t wrap my mind around what the problem might be.
