Error: cannot save any project after generating (nested) manufacturing model. "The source asset has not referenced the target asset"

I keep on getting the following error message after I create a nested manufacturing model:

"Error: The source asset MfgWorkingModel in document... has not referenced the target asset FusionAssetName in document ...!

After this, Fusion does not allow me to save the file, so I lose all my work. Trying to save the project under another name, leads to a crash an lost data.

This happens for all the projects I have been trying to nest lately.

Hello

I have the same problem.

If I generate a new manufacturing modell i can not save anymore.

Sometimes it is impossibe do generate a manufactuing modell with the newest version of the design.

It uses a previous version of the same design

This happend after editing an existing modell maybe a problem with the bug alert 1 week ago?

Fusion Error.PNGSame problem here.  I created a MFG Model.  Created a set up, added some toolpaths and now I can not save my work.

We have found a workflow (using sketch text) which results in this error "the source asset .. not referencing the target asset .." .  Create a sketch with text in design workspace; go to manufature workspace; create manufacturing model; try to save; the error message comes up. The attached screecast shows this.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/f2258adc-62d0-47d0-9515-30d8ccc2a8ff

In the recent May update we have enhanced sketch text to have text height as parameter. This enhancement has introduced this issue. To confirm, if we delete the sketch text, save is possible as shown in the screen cast.

We are working on a fix and to make it available soon. Will update here once fix is available.

PS: If your design doesn't have sketch text and still the error "The source asset has not referenced the target asset" is showing up, could you please share your fusion design file so that we can take a further look.

Thanks

Sunil

This is happening for me as well ... adding text for engraving and now I can no longer save the model.

This is less than satisfactory

I agree, this needs to be fixed quickly. As a small business this simple bug has severely crippled my output.

This issue is fixed in the latest update of Fusion.

Please update Fusion and try. Let us know if you still see the issue.

Hi Sunil, a bug like this should not make it into a production release,
fixing it after the fact doesn't prevent financial loss for people running
a business using this software.

Hi  @chris_IgniteDigi Agreed and sorry for the trouble caused with this issue. No excuses here. We do our best to ensure release is robust. Unfortunately if such a bug escape from our net, we do give our best to fix it quickly. Said that, we acknowledge this escaped bug and will try our best to be better in catching such bugs before making it to production release. Thanks for the patience shown.

Thanks

I think I'm screwed.  When I try to save I get the source/target error.  But I have no sketchs so I have nothing to remove text from.  I think I have no recovery files since the recovery dialog is grayed out in the file menu, even though my preferences are set to save every 5 mins.  I haven't saved in hours.  My design is sitting in my running f360.  What can I do to save hours of work?

EDIT:  This probably doesn't belong here.  I'm going to cross-post this in a new thread.

I am having this issue currently. I have some nested assemblies with more than 500 parts. I was initially able to save but I made some changes and now I am getting the same error as all of you except I am not making a manufacturing model, only in design. Is there another fix coming?
