erroneous new installation - cannot access "work in progress files" of previous installation

I was asked to renew my (private, free) license - somewhat confusing or me - but I did so.

Now I have installed this new instance and in due course I cannot access my "8 work in progress files" of the previous instance anymore.

Questions:

* How to I start the "previous" instance to access these files and their history -

or

* how to I "include" these files in the new instance?

Thank you !!

It sounds like you created a new user account, rather than renewing the license for the old account. If you log in with the account ID / password combo that is associated with your 8 designs, do you see them?

Can you please provide a screen capture image of the entire Fusion 360 application frame including the greyed out designs? I'm still not sure what you are describing exactly. An image will help.

Thank you very much, Phil !

Sorry that I caused work and confusion: I thought that the "grey" designs are not accessible - hence I did not touch them at all !
Now I just tried and they work !!!! - and afterwards they are now black, no more grey. No idea why they were grey in the first place...... All problems (almost) gone.
There is one minor issue left:Ths system says that the test period will end in 28 days. What do I do to change the "test version" to the "no charge private" version?

( for retired Odies ...     ;-))   )

Just FYI - Attached is a full screen shot of the situation it was before I opened the grey designs.

THX - this is my first contact with a forum; may I make a donation for your efforts? - How do I do that ?

Best regards,
Gerhard

Gerhard,

Thanks for your nice comments, but no support is needed. I'm happy to help you any time.

Message #6 on this post should be what you need, regarding the end of the trial period and start of the new license: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/fusion-360-education-lisence-expiring/m-p/11534350...

Let me know if that helps.

Oh dear….. :-((
I thought all problems weregone by now and the change from a trial license to a „noncommercial, personal“ should be a simple job.The screenshot you sent (thank you ) is hardly unreadible – very low resolution.
What I think I can read is asfollows:
I have to wait until the trialperiod is over. ( ??? )Then I have to go to:https://autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/personal-downloadThen I have to download viathe provided LinkThen it will be recognisedthat I have a current Fusion-360 subscription ( ?? after the end of thetrial period ?? )Then I have to download ( ?? But – NO –installation to follow ????? - why a download beforehand ?? )Then text:If I you´ve recentlyactivated Fusion 360 for personal use, sign out and log in within theapplication ( ?? How can I sign outwhen the trial period is over – I cannot sign in first hand !?! )
Is my „action list“ abovecorrect?
I am probably a narrow minded,stupid Oldie ….. - but I cannot help, I am very confused.
Sorry :-((
Gerhard

You have it exactly right.

You ask "How can I sign outwhen the trial period is over – I cannot sign in first hand"

Are you not signed in right now? I'm under the impression you have a user ID that allows you to log-in to the application while it's in the 30 day trial. That is the same user ID you will use to log-in from now on.

Thank you again for yor advise.

I unerstand that I have to wait until the trial period is expired. Only then I will be able to see if everything works fine..... - I just hope.   ;-))
