Erratic and automatic change of visual style

Problem:

When i change the Visual Style of my viewport (e.g. from "visible edges" to "wireframe") using the keyboard shortcuts, the viewport has a tendency to jump back to the previous visual style after a few changes of me changing it.

Example: i switch from "shaded with visible edges" to wireframe to observe some inner geometry of object; the viewport first changes to wireframe, then jumps back to "shaded with visible edges" after 1-2 seconds. I press the shortcut again, until it sticks after a couple of tries.

It happens most of the time, but the viewport usually sticks when it settles.

Any ideas?

strange.  Are you sure you are not inadvertently hitting one of the other keys that would change the style?  Can you possibly record a video of this happening?  Thanks

Sure, see attached.

The behaviour happens at the 4 and 14 second marks. And as you can see, it doesn't happen at other times, seemingly random.

it's a bit hard to tell what is going on here, with lots of rapid switching of style types.  So far, I am unable to reproduce it.  Does it happen if you are in one style?  That is, if you are not rapidly changing between styles?  So, if you are in, say, shaded with hidden edges, does Fusion ever spontaneously change to another style?  In this video, all I can imagine is that some keyboard message gets lost and then later gets "found" and executed, much later than it should.

It has been a known bug since I started using Fusion 4 years ago. It has also been reported several times, and to this date, everybody still says it's strange... Maybe they will fix it at some point in the next four years or so.

I've had this problem for a while. I'm actually experiencing it now where I'll change it to one style, and as soon as I move the model it jumps back to the previous style. Sometimes it just jumps back on it's own without even touching anything.

I started noticing this almost immediately upon using Fusion about a year ago, but thought it was just a fluke. Today, it's gotten a lot more aggressive and I can't get the view to stick no matter what I do. I guess Fusion is calling the shots now.

Good to hear i'm not the only one. Unfortunately it seems that Autodesk are not really taking bug reports seriously anymore.

I have the exact same problem as described. There are no other variables to consider. When changing visual styles using the designated keyboard shortcuts, the visual style reverts to the previous style after a couple of seconds. After multiple tries, the desired visualization style "sticks".

I've also had this issue, for the past 3 years, its a really annoying one!
I used to think it was me hitting the keys funny but its clearly a bug.

First occured on my old machine when I started using Fusion (MacBook Pro, 15-inch, Mid 2015)

And now still a constant issue on my new M1 chip macbook (MacBook Pro, 16-inch, 2021)
