Entering fractional imperial measurements when working in decimal metrics.

When you are working in standard metrics (mm, cm...) you can enter measures in inches by indicating the unit at the end (1 in will be be automatically translated to 25.4 mm). You can also enter fractional measurements such as 1 3/4 in (one inch and three fourths of an inch) but I could not find the way to enter a measurement of less than one inch such as 17/32 in. When I type this, the text goes red indicating the entry is incorrect.

I have worked around this by entering (17/32) + 1 in or 1 17/32 -1 in but I suppose there must be an easier way. Or is it a bug?

This is probably the same flaw in the application that was preventing a Forum poster from entering, when using units set to feet, 5' 1/2".  He could enter 5' 1 1/2" but nothing less than 1".  @jeff_strater this is another one that shows something is amiss with units entry.

Yes, this needs some attention.  If you have the type set to "architectural" in the units display:

then, you can enter values with 0 as the feet, which is maybe a tiny bit less kludgy:

I will create a bug for this.

[edit] turns out there is already one for this:  FUS-32388
