Thanks

Hi @r.moss and @wouter.robeyns,

Sorry for the difficulty. I think you both may be experiencing a known issue that our engineering team is investigating. If you could both please direct message me the email address associated with your Autodesk account, I can pass it along to my team.

Regards,

Gabe

I contacted support and this is what they told me:

"*When we checked we find that we cannot reset your profile as you may
continue to face the issue afterwards.*

*Please create a new account as an educator with different email address*

*Go through this article for the steps to be followed by educator *
*https://damassets.autodesk.net/content/dam/autodesk/www/fusion-360/fusion-360-educators-guide.pdf*

"

I hope this helps you out. As a Google Workspace school, I was able to
make an alias to create a new Autodesk account with. This isn't the ideal
solution but it works for now.

I don't think anyone is reading this thread anymore. I got no response and
I posted at least a week ago. Try contacting support.

Thank you.  The banner is down to "Expiring in 4 days"....getting close.    Do I need to start exporting and backing-up hundreds of files?  ( and is there a simple way of doing this for a whole project?)

I found an add-in called "Fusion 360 Total Export" that I used with Fusion 360.  I did have a crash after it exported several projects but that doesn't mean there is a problem. I think I had problem with one of my projects.

Good Luck!

Hi @r.moss,

The issue we're working to address is related to the (incorrect) expiration date you're seeing in the Education Community. Depending on when you first activated your Fusion 360 product subscription, you will likely be able to continue using it, even after the expiration date shown in the Education Community.

Once our engineering team addresses this issue, the expiration date you see in the Education Community should accurately reflect when you need to renew access in order to continue using Fusion 360.

Gabe

Thank you for the link.  I tried it and it happily created .f3d files for the first 114 files (out of nearly 700) before crashing because an output file name was too long (one of the inserted McMaster-Carr components was to blame, I think).

I activated my account in February 2018.  Does that make a difference?  Down to "Expiring in 2 days" now, so it's getting a bit stressful.  Is there some way you can update my licence manually, if the website interface cannot be fixed?

What would you suggest?  If there's no way of backing up data to a personal hard disk (that's practical in the time available, without loading 670 files and exporting each individually, 11 hours at 1 per minute maybe),   I guess one approach would be to transfer the models to someone who isn't about to expire, then retrieve them when my account is safe - is there some way of doing that?

best wishes

Roger

I'm not sure what happens once it has expired but I guess (assuming that the files are not instantly deleted) that I won't have any access to back them up at my leisure - will just have to hope that access gets restored before they do eventually get wiped.

Hi Roger,

Your Fusion project files should not be affected even if the license does expire in 2 days, even though I suspect it will not.

You can also take a look in your Autodesk Account to see the subscription expiration date there.

Once we fix the issue with the date in the Education Community, the two dates should align, but for now, the one that should be accurate is in your Autodesk Account.

I hope this helps.

Hi Gabe

Thanks.  I looked at my account but it does not (as far as I can see) mention any expiry date.

If I look under "User Management", By User, it says I was added to a Team on 24/9/2020.  (I think I downloaded a trial, never used it).  It says:

Watch for upcoming expiration dates to avoid over-assigning Fusion 360.

but it does not say when the expiry date might be.

If I look under By Product, it says:

.

It's not at all clear.  I suspect that I had a Team trial back in 2020 and that has done something to my settings. There really is no expiry date to be seen!

Hello
I'm a teacher, my education licence ran out. It was renewed very quickly but now still says expired subscribe now.
Account and emails all say account is fine. How do I update the actual software to let me work/save again?

Thanks

Mike

Hi @mbastowB8ZQC and anyone else who may be running into similar issues,

Please review the steps in this forum post [message 373] about how to resolve any date-related issues with renewing your Autodesk Education plan and/or product subscription.

I hope this helps!

Hi Keqing.

How are you?  I am having the same student "license expiring in 17 days" problem.  I have been using Fusion 360 since I started school and I have one more year to go.  Please help resolve the problem as the last year of school is most important in terms of 3D workload.

Thank you!
