Edit a joint found by "Select Referencing Joints"

Once you have isolated the joints associated with a component using "Select Referencing Joints" how do you select the particular joint you want to edit. The obvious solution to right click the joint you want but it doesn't give the "edit joint" option in the list.

I am aware all the joints are highlighted on the timeline but it is a PITA going through them one by one to find the joint you want to edit. As soon as you do one all the highlights disappear and you have to go through the whole loop again to get to the next joint.

I must not understand your question because I have been using this process and it works well.  Take a look at the Animated GIF.

That is very interesting. I don't have a means of making an animated gif but here are two screenshots. One with a component with a single joints and another with a component with multiple joints. Right click a joint on a component with a single joint and I get the edit option. Right click a joint on a component with multiple joints and I don't get the edit option

When you click on a component and select "Select Referencing Joints" and more than one joint icon lights up on the display, you must left click on the one your want to edit to turn the others off, then right click to get the edit option in your context menu.  If you review my Animated GIF again, you will see where I do this process as the component I chose has two Joint Symbols displayed.

From the gif it is not obvious that you left click then right click. I did wonder why I hadn't tried the left/right click method so I tried it. However, I must have tried it in the past, with the left click both joint icons disappear.

I attached a video where I narrate what I am clicking and which mouse buttons I am using.  As you can see it works just fine.

That is precisely what I have been doing but, in my case, when I left click of the icon for the joint I want to edit just removes all the icons from the screen

I have a suspicion that it used to work in the past but it certainly doesn't work now for me.

I am sorry to hear that it does not work for you.  As you can see it does work, so in my opinion, this should lead you to the conclusion that you need to consider activating the Fusion Service Utility and use the Repair Option to see if you can correct your application installation.  Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up on the Service Utility. I wasn't aware of it but found it under the "?"/Diagnostics and Support (top right of screen). It ran fine but I still have the problem.

BTW are you on the free/personal version or subscribed version?

I use a Fusion Subscription License but I also have a Fusion Personal License for testing purposes.  In the attached video I show that the process of finding the referenced Joint and then editing it from the screen works the same when I am using my Fusion Personal License.  You can see the callout at the top of the screen showing I am using a Fusion Personal License in the video.

Thanks for your efforts on this. I have done the repair twice now and still the same. I have tried different projects ans still the same. Left click one of the joint icons and they all disappear.

I see we have had 180 views can anyone else confirm they are experiencing this same problem?

How do we get these problems logged as possible bugs?

Hi,

It works as expected.
Selection with left-click (all joints visible) Right-click > Edit (only the selected one visible).
