After the latest update of Fusion 360, all of a sudden it isn't rendering my EAGLE PCBs correctly. I can't see the silkscreen, soldermask or copper on the top/bottom layers.

Hi @sal.torre,

Thank you for posting in the community!

Sorry to hear that is happening!  Just to check - can you please see if there is "Canvases" folder in the browser and it turns on (enable) to show?  Did this happen with a particluar file?

I would like to take a closer look at the problem you are having on my end.  Would you mind sharing one of the board files (*.brd) to me via email (kanehiko.saito@autodesk.com)?

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thanks.

It happens to all of my boards now.

Where am I looking for Canvases? Within Fusion 360 or on my computer with
EAGLE?

I will find a file to share with you over email.

I have the same problem too. In past, there was a "Canvases" folder in the browser when I push project from Eagle into Fusion 360. Now "Canvases" folder is missing. Even, when I try to push older project which was rendered properly, today "canvases" is missing.

Hi @sal.torre,

Thank you for sharing the file!  I am sorry for the delay in responding.

A "Canvases" folder would be located in the browser and PCB trace should be shown in the folder.  I've logged a ticket with our development team to investigate this issue (internal ID:  FUS-43487).  I will update in this thread once I have something to share!  Thank you for your patience.

@jay.brohn, @radikn - thank you for reporting this!  I am sorry for my slow response.  I will get back here once I have more information about this.

Would you mind sharing the board file (*.brd) with us?  If it is possible to share with us, can you please send it to me via email (kanehiko.saito@autodesk.com)?  I will report your files to the team!

If you have any questions, please let me know and I'm happy to help!

Thanks.

@saito.kh,

Thank you for the quick response. After checking again, I can see that older PCBs that have not been pushed/updated to Fusion in a while still have the canvases folder. Recent designs in Fusion do not have a canvases folder. Seems like we may be onto the issue here.

If you need another data point, I also have this problem.

There is no "Canvases" section under "Board" on Eagle boards pushed to Fusion 360.

The Push to Fusion feature worked on 15 Sep 2018 I believe, but not now.

I am using fusion next to Eagle and now I know why my silkscreen is not rendering. It's added as a Canvas. Problem I don't have a picture of the silkscreen because it's part of the pcb so I am not able to add it as a decal. Maybe an idea to add on both because otherwise the pcb view has no silkscreen.  Any suggestions?Schermafbeelding 2019-02-02 om 01.20.22.pngSchermafbeelding 2019-02-02 om 01.25.23.png

Got response they are working on it and up to finalize it soon.

There is a work around I found out. I copy the images from eagle (manufacture Top and Bottom) and assign after right fitting them as to the top and bottom decal of the board on the imported step file of the model.

So export board as step file.

Create new file.

Import the step file.

Create from Eagle manufacturing the top and bottom image and save them.

Create decal on body of the board by selecting (no facing) the top image for the top.

Adjust the picture size about 2.15 (X an Y) in my case

Now you can render. Even you board looks like a pcb with the facings on the side in brown.

Even hope for the software solution for this.

Any chance a fix is coming for this? Approaching the one year mark on this bug...

The problem is intermittent. Up until the several pushes from Eagle to Fusion, I could see green canvas. After that, the canvases, for several of my assembled PCBs, would disappear as the board appears bare (brown).

Now, with no efforts of my own, apart from pushing the PCB several times, the canvas seems to have come in all by itself.

Same issue here. Some PCBs will render correctly others are brown.

What the hell can be done to get all PCBs with silk-screen and printings rendered?

I have the same problem? Seems like this has been an issue for a very long time. Is Autodesk doing anything about it? I need to create professional renders of my PCB, and all of a sudden it is not including the silk screen with the render. The PCB is is brown. Looks teriable!
