DXF Import Sketch Problem

Having a bit of trouble manipulating a sketch that has been ported as a DXF File from AutoCad 2020.

Now The DXF file seems to take a long time .. that is it usually takes from 3-6 minutes depending on the size of the DXF file .

But my real concern is that I can’t manipulate the sketch or sketches.

To Move or Copy / Rotate is almost if not nonexistent.

Now I Have read several different ways of reading in the dxf file into Fusion.

Not really what I am trying to get at.

Your DXF has over 18,000 curves in it, Fusion's sketch solver is just not going to handle this much info in one sketch. Is there any way you could split it up into different layers then use import DXF with the one sketch per layer option.

Just one of the features below has over 700 curves, that about the max I'd want in a single sketch and that could be quite slow.

Looking a bit closer and a big problem is the splines in the image below have been linearized so instead of 20 or so curves you end up nearly 700!

Thank you for the quick response.

Unfortunately Friday was one of those crazy days here in the office, and could not respond a quick as I would have liked.

I Was Able to remove the ellipses .. Splines, And the file size is considerably smaller.

From 3500 kb down to 750 kb, but still not luck with the Manipulating The Geometry into separate Sketches .. and No Rotate or Move or any of that…

When I Trap in Select the Sketche.

Just lost in the “Spinney Circle” / [Fusion .. back and forth thinking bar]

I will post the new DXF file here today if I cant figure out what the Issue is.

I did notice another problem with the 3 bolts in the end view, each one is over 2,000 curves.

What Software are you using in the Jpg Please, ?

Secondly .. I cant be the only person to run into this ?

I'm using Rhino in the images.

As for the problem, the old adage of use the right tool for the job is just as important with software as it is with any other tool. Fusion's sketch solver can not handle huge amounts of data and for most designs created in Fusion that is not a problem.

I will keep track of them the next time in am trying to read in Autocad to Fusion.
